My Son Is scared he says something is breaking through his gum and bleeding

My son is scared he says something is breaking through his gum and bleeding we looked it up and its tooth 15 the Canine but there is already a tooth in front of what's breaking through he is so scared what are the things that a dentist would do about it? Surgery, etc.
