For the last year or so my bottom front 4 teeth are hurting me and the top molars also hurt. It's usually when I eat and drink but something they just hurt all the time. They feel very weak like if I bite something hard they will just shatter.

I've tried many different toothpastes for people with sensitive teeth and the dentist I go to just says there is nothing wrong with them, she look at them through xray too and she said she can't see anything wrong with them, no fractures or holes or anything.

I was wondering if I might have to go extreme and get dental implants? Get my current teeth ripped out and new ones put in but I wanted to ask, would this solve the sensitivity issue? I'm assuming that when your teeth are ripped out, the nerves come with it and your new teeth just sit there and therefor the sensitivity issue would be fixed.

Is this viable?

Hi,

I have an aunt who had dental implants done. Her mouth was destroyed by them and she is in constant pain. They were not properly done. So, if you ever do go to the extreme of dental implants, make sure the person doing the procedure has done it several times before and knows exactly what they are doing. My aunt was lied to, the person had never done the procedure, and she paid not only tons of money but paid for her decision to have the implants done. She could not even sue (it's a long story) and to this day is miserable over those implants. They hurt her all the time.

Believe me when I say you do not want to get implants unless it is a last resort, at least not a whole mouthful! I'm sure there must be someone out there who can help you with the sensitivity of your teeth! It would be a shame to get rid of them :( please don't give up.

have you tried seeing another dentist for a diagnosis? I would get a second opinion. Maybe something is being overlooked. Have you had your wisdom teeth removed? It could be that your enamel is very weak. Something must be wrong for your teeth to be hurting. I definitely suggest consulting another dentist or a specialist.
