I had an upper tooth removed about 6 weeks ago, the last few days when I drink a water or other drink the healed socket feels really sensitive and painful, just wondered if this is anything to be concerned about?

It might be that the bone has remodelled around the adjacent teeth leaving a bit of root surface exposed. In which case some sensitive tooth toothpaste will help. I can't see any reason for the extraction socket being sensitive.
