NEVER BEEN TO A DENTIST?
WORRIED OR SCARED YOU NEED MAJOR DENTAL WORK?
BEEN IN PAIN OR EMBARRASSED FOR YEARS?

My name is Katy McClellan, I’m a Producer at a television production company called Little Gem- we are looking to speak with people for a new TV series development.

We are currently developing a new series that will feature people who have never been to the dentist or doctor. It might be because they need major dental work but have a fear of the dentist, or are worried about massive bills. Perhaps you know someone who has serious dental problems but refuses to seek help.
If so, please make contact for a confidential chat.

If the documentary goes on to be commissioned we will feature people's full examination, the change in how they see their health issues and the results of their treatment. From these stories, we hope that the audience will take home important lessons – including what you should never ignore and what you can do to maintain general good health.

At this stage all we are hoping to do is speak to people in confidence about the issues they are facing.

The ideal candidate would be 18+ and never been to the dentist in their adult life (or for over 10 years) - whether they are 19 or 90 we want to hear from them!

Email: [email protected] or call 0203 642 3030 for a confidential chat.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SPEAKING WITH YOU!

We are just in the development stage so looking to speak to as many people as possible for case studies

Many thanks!

Re: Never seen a dentist?

People on this forum avoid going to the dentist for fear nerves or total phobia. How would you propose to deal with these emotions. It isn't just a matter of getting someone there and things will be fine. They need to build up a trust with the dentist doing the procedures which takes time, a lot of time and patience and even then they may not be totally at ease having treatment. I think you may be better asking people that haven't been to a dentist through lack of funds rather than the complex issues people have that come on this site. :butterfly:

If indeed your intention is to help people with fears and phobias then how do you intend to help them get over this to be able to keep up their dental health when they have had the work they may need done. Do you intend to advise them on dental hygiene as well?
