I think I am here to vent more than anything
It will soon be two years ago that I had a partial denture. I had my canines extracted as a child. My front tooth was removed and I have missing premolars on each side. So my denture has 5 teeth. I couldn't have a bridge obviously through lack of supporting teeth. The only other option would be implants but I have been told before they could fail anyway, which would be an awful lot of anxiety and expense for that to happen.
And so I am left with this denture that I have never got used to. And I don't believe I ever will. I wear it every day. Eat with it (as now can't eat without it) and remove it every night. It doesn't need altering though at some point I could get another but I know it won't make much difference. It is as if my mouth has never got used to having something alien in it! I constantly suck on it and move it, I just can't seem to help it. It never feels comfortable. But the dentist says it fits just right.
It is just me. Super sensitive.
And it makes me feel sad that I will live the rest of my life putting up with it.
