Hi,
My last dentist visit was a month ago and I had a few composite fillings. One of them was on LR7 (shown) and I recently looked in the mirror to find this black spot that looks a bit like a small hole? I'm extremely worried that something has gone wrong with the filling or maybe a cavity has developed on the tooth surface adjacent to the filling/composite?
I really don't want to go back to the dentist as it's really expensive for me but I also don't want this to progress into worse decay or a root canal so will go if it's worth checking out. Could this just be a small hole in the composite rather than a cavity? I've had so many fillings already and thought that with all of my molars filled I wouldn't need more for the near future
I brush with high flouride toothpaste, brush and interdental brush twice a day and use Xylitol after meals (limited to three a day without processed sugar).
