I had my new crown seated on tooth #19 (molar) last week.
The crown feels loose and I can taste the permament cement.
Also, you can see the crown move from side to side.

I saw the dentist today and he feels that the tooth is properly sealed. He tried to remove the crown and it would not come off.
My dentist was afraid that the crown would break if he tried to pry it off.
He took x-rays and he said that the crown looks like it is sealed properly.

My root canal tooth hurts, my gums hurt and the taste is awful.
I know that this crown is loose........................

Please help.........
Thank you

Best thing I can suggest is to see another dentist for a second opinion then. Sorry.

My dentist refuses to remove the crown.
He is afraid that he might damage my tooth and feels that the crown is properly sealed.
Another dentist is afraid to remove the crown, but believes me that the crown is loose and causing me pain.
What next???

A third dentist? Frankly I don't believe the second dentist. If the crown is loose then it can be removed simply and easily without any risk of damage to the tooth whatsoever.

Not only that, but if it IS loose then it should be removed immediately, I can't think of any good reason why it wouldn't be.
