I'm not sure what to do. I got a crown put on a root canal tooth (lowar molar) on Thursday, and it hurts a bit. The main problem is that it feels like my bite is off. The crown is higher than the tooth used to be, and it feels like it is slamming onto my upper molar.

Is this something that I should wait out? Will it settle? Or do I need a new crown??? I sure hope not.

It might settle down or it might not. It's possible the crown needs some minor adjustment. Usually it won't need to be replaced. Sorry that's a vague answer but it's all I can do without seeing you. :-)

Ok, I went in today, and the dentist said the crown was a bit too high. He drilled it down a bit, and said it should be ok. It feels better, so hopefully that's settled it, at least for this tooth. 2 more crowns to be done, one this year, one next or sooner if finances allow it...
