Hi - I had a 3-surface filling (amalgam) in one of my molars 6 months ago. No sensitivity, everything was good. Then 2-3 months ago I started noticing sensitivity to hot and cold, soda (diet or regular) and especially sugar.

I've only seen this dentist a few times so I'm not sure of their track record, but do I need to get this checked out? I can deal with the pain and sensitivity for now, but I'm worried I'm letting damage occur to my tooth. Thanks for any help!

Only way to advise would be after having a look at the tooth, it would be best to make an appointment with your dentist.
