Hi!

I have a tooth with no visible cavity hurting. It hurts when I bite down, not when I release the bite. And then the pain feels all the time after biting. I have not noticed any sensitivity to cold or hot.

teeth next to it is one root canaled and a another one perfectly healthy, too.

what could the reason be for a tooth to hurt without a visual cavity? I had already arranged a dental cleaning in two weeks time, due to many problems I had in the past I get a check up every 3 months..

No way to tell without looking at you/your tooth, sorry.
