Just had the first phase of root canal on a back molar. I am so sore. Never been sore from a root canal filling before but the dentist said all teeth are different and back teeth can be problematic when it comes to root fillings. He also said root canal fillings do not always work especially for back ones and if this does not work then I can either have the tooth out or he will send me to a specialist for root canal treatment but he will try his best to do it himself.

I am fed up and have just taken a couple of painkillers. The dentist said this should only last a few days
