I have been a denture wearer for 20+ years. I had extensive bone loss even prior to my initial extractions. I wear a full upper plate and a lower partial. I’ve had Aviloplasties on all four quadrants at the time of my initial extractions 20+ years ago.
All lower back teeth are missing. I was only left with the six front teeth.
Two years ago I had new upper and lower dentures made but after 160 pound weight loss they became very ill fitting and too big so I went for a consultation for new dentures and subsequently had a cavity in one of the remaining lower front teeth, which needed to be removed. The dentist who did my consultation insisted in order to save the remainder bottom front teeth my rigid and metal framed lower partial needed to be replaced with a Veraplast partial.
So a week ago he removed the tooth and placed the veraplast partial with a tooth to replace the tooth him extracted and the top full denture. The top denture was so big it had absolutely no suction at all and the lower partial was to long in the back and rubbing all along the bottom on both sides and when I bit down was hitting a nerve and shooting pain all the way up the side of my face. I had this procedure done at 8 AM in the morning and by 2:30 PM was in so much discomfort. I was back in the office and he had to grind down part of the lower partial so that I could even tolerate it in my mouth.
so for a week, I have been absolutely miserable, but trying to let the front heal. We extracted the tooth. Hence the pictures you will see that that front tooth is extremely shorter than the rest of my teeth in the front. Yesterday when I went back in they sent my top teeth back out to have them relied, which do fit better, but are still extremely loose. And I am having to use powder adhesive to keep them steady. I cannot chew with my back teeth because I have pain in any pressure is directly put down on those back teeth and my bite seems completely off. I don’t even feel like my teeth on one side of my mouth or even touching.I’ve taken some pictures which I’m gonna post here looking up from the bottom.
I guess my question is was I even a real candidate for these veraplast lower partials because of the amount of bone loss and the amount of teeth that I am missing on the bottom. I asked this at my consultation, but feel like it was kind of brushed off because the only concern was trying to preserve the front teeth on the bottom that I had left. Which I do understand but also it does no good to keep these teeth to hold the bottom partial in if I can’t function. Is this why I’m having so much pain when I bite down to even try to eat I have no chewing power whatsoever. These dentures and partials don’t even seem like they were made together for the same person.
These were taken this morning with my teeth closed completely together.

Valplast is a very poor choice of material for an immediate denture. So whatever followed from that is hardly surprising. Sorry.
You'd be best off asking for a partial refund and going elsewhere.
