Noticed this on gum

I've been getting some pain in surrounding teeth , and noticed this on my gum, is it an abscess..

I am not sure which bit of the image you mean, but looking a the whole image, I cannot see anything resembling an abscess.

Sorry I meant this white bit, on the gum next to the tooth, any idea what it could be? I thought a mouth ulcer but would that be that so near the tooth?

Ah OK,
It looks like a small area of thickened skin, which would be harmelss but it is difficult to be sure as the image is not sharp. Another harmelss possibility could be a small wart.
Either way, if you see it change in size or appearance you should get it checked like you would if it were a mole.
But it really does not look like an abscess.

This is perhaps a sharper image, the reason I'm asking is because I am getting tooth gum pain around there but maybe this is a confidence just
