I just had my four wisdom teeth removed yesterday and this morning when I woke up, my left side of my tongue is still numb. The numbness everywhere else has worn off. Should I be concerned or does it sometimes just take a little longer for it to wear off depending on how much medication they put in my mouth on that side?

I had my wisdom teeth out in early May, and a numb tongue was one of the things in the pamphlet they gave me as one of the possible side effects. I think they referred to it as parasthesia (sp?).

Contact the surgeon who did the extractions as soon as you can.
