I am not sure whether this is related or not to my two right side extractions from last month, but past couple of days I experienced pain in the muscle in my right cheek, the one that you can feel moving when you open and close your mouth (masseter?). I do brux so it could be why or my teeth and jaw finding their new position. But I was woken up early this morning, by a moderate but noticeable pain that came in waves in my teeth, I can't tell which teeth for sure but I think it might be my upper and lower canine on the right side. The teeth themselves don't seem to hurt but the pain feels like it's coming from the jaw, rather than the tooth. I have no sensitivity to cold, hot or tapping. I am not sure what to do. The consent sheet I signed did mention the possibility of nerve damage with the extraction of the lower wisdom tooth, could that be what's bothering me now a month later?

Nerve damage would be loss of sensation not pain.

Chances are you're grinding a bit more than usual, the canines quite often get the worse of it. Are you stressing about something specific at the moment (more than the usual stress level of modern life I mean).

@Gordon thanks, I managed to get an appointment with my dentist at lunchtime and he did 2 x-rays to rule out abscess or cavity and confirm what he thought initially, that it is inflammation from how I chew (and brux!), readjusting to the new tooth arrangement in my mouth. I do brux, a lot, I have done since I was a little kid, but I am not sure I'm grinding more than usual, I am not particularly stressed - apart from my usual anxiety. So I was told this might take a few months to settle and it will probably come and go, so when it does flare up, to take ibuprofen and paracetamol, to make sure I get the inflammation under control. Makes sense I guess as I also seem to bite my tongue and my cheeks more than normal since my extraction sites healed over.
