Hello everyone.

I have been having dental issues for a while, and I won't get into the past, however, I had a broken tooth and went to the dentist. My dentist told me it was too damaged for a crown, as it wouldn't last, and he will put in a temp filling until the tooth is essentially dead. He recommended after that to get it extracted and then an implant.

I cannot afford an implant and it's a back molar, so I'm just going to have it removed and be done.

Now, I had the deep filling yesterday and now it has been constantly throbbing and causing me pain - I can't eat and the entire tooth hurtd! I'm literally having ibuprofen as that is the only way to get relief.

It's early days but I'm nervous. Is this normal for a deep filling. I'm guessing it was close to the nerve and it's inflamed.

Will this ease? Am I panicking for nothing given it's only been one day?

It's been just over 24 hours and it hurts so much I might start crying. It hurts when I swallow or drink/eat, because the tooth is touching my mouth. I actually bit down and I have never felt such stabbing pain 😭

Go back to the dentist and get it extracted now. No point in messing around with it any longer.

I ended up having to make an emergency appointment and got it extracted. Apparently it was infected, which explains the pain.
