Painkillers after extraction

Hi folks, this is my first day on board so please be gentle

Do we have any dentists online that could answer my question? Today I had a tooth extracted and now the anaesthetic has worn off I am feeling very uncomfortable. I have taken paracetomol 2 hours ago which hasn't helped. Is it ok for me to take some Ibuprofen to see if that will help ease the pain?

Yes, that's the best thing to do, if you're OK to take Ibuprofen.

Alternate them about, Paracetamol then Ibuprofen every 3 hours if you need to, so there's 6 hours between each drug.

Hi Gordon, nice to 'meet' you and thanks for your swift reply I am fine taking Ibuprofen, just thought I had better check before I had some in case it had any effect on the clot. Will wait another hour then take some as you advised, thanks
