Partial denture

I'm just back from dentist ,wish I found this group sooner.this morning I had 4 top teeth removed and partial put straight in, my lips were so numb I couldn't ask questions,been told to sleep in them tonight ,take them out for cleaning after that . I'm devastated and don't want my husband or anyone anyone to see me with the plate in , I'm struggling more mentally than I thought I would, just looking for any handy tips ,advice really xxxx
