How long should it last for? I just got it put on today and its a little sensitive and a tiny bit painful when i bit down on that tooth, is this normal?

give it a couple of weeks.

Annie778 is right

Your tooth will be sensitive for the first little while after a crown. Typically it subsides within a few weeks, maybe faster.

If it is still uncomfortable after a few days when you bite down, it could mean that your bite is a little off. It's a simple adjustment in the dental chair to get it taken care of.

Good luck!

i had a permanent crown put on in december and for the first few weeks after, i'd get discomfort eating certain things. by the new year, though, things had settled down and it only really feels weird if i get food stuck in between my teeth and need to floss really well!

give it some time and i'm sure it'll feel normal really soon!
