Hi-
I went through with my third root canal treatment on my bottom left molar. It has been six weeks. The tooth feels as if it has never settled even after the second treatment. I feel tenderness mostly at night. In the daytime it is mostly ok but there is some gum sensitivity around the tooth, especially if I press on it. I still avoid biting on that side. I could go get an x ray… but the last one didn’t show anything before the third root canal. Not sure if I should just have the tooth extracted.

I am having pain in two teeth next to eachother and they have both had root canals trying to fix the pain. One of them is a second root canal and I also can not chew on that side. A deep ache ensues the next days if I do. I worry extraction will cause trigeminal neuralgia because I already feel some of that kind of pain. I understand what a hard place it is to decide. Have you had a CBCT image yet?

@Milomin Hi, I'm experiencing the exact same problem with a bottom left molar root canal. I'm 4 weeks post treatment and still in quite a lot of pain that extends into my Jaw. I've had a CBCT scan and X-rays and my Endo insists neither show any signs of fracture. My crown placement is currently delayed due to the pain I'm experiencing, I'm honestly thinking long term if I should of just had this tooth out. My root canal was due to irreversible pulpitis from a deep filling my dentist had done so I had no abscess beforehand just pain. If you see this and can provide any update on what your outcome was I'd be very grateful. Thank you :)
