Post Surgery - flights abroad

I am due in for wisdom removal on 24th June and due to fly from UK to Greece on 4th August.
My oral surgeon said this would be fine but I have read that you shouldn't fly for 8 weeks after.
Can anyone confirm or give advice on this.
I hope it's not true - my holiday is all paid for

From June 24 to August 4 is just about 6 weeks and should be more than adequate healing time for you to take your trip. I think your oral surgeon is giving you good advice, but, quite frankly, he'll know better after he removes your wisdom teeth. Assuming your surgery goes well, there should be nothing standing in the way of you going to Greece and enjoying your holiday......
