My daugher is 2 years 1 month old. I have just noticed some brownish stains at the top of her teeth. We brush her teeth twice a day with training toothpaste (no flouride) but she is really resistant to it and also won't spit toothpaste so I can't use flouride yet.

Does this mean cavities? i was thinking it could be stains from chocolate Pediasure drink which she has because she has a really picky diet.

Thanks for any advice.

toddlers often get stained teeth but we don't know so she needs an examination best done by a pediatric dentist. Do NOT go to a chain practice!

I was going to gtake her to my therapist/dentist if he will see her. The last thing I need is her getting a dental phobia too :(

She let me brush her teeth rather aggressively and the stains are gone.

What age would you recoomend? My pediatrician said wait till she's at least 3 to take her in or risk the chance of trauma, IDK what to do.
