Question about permanent crowns

Hello, I just got my permanent crowns put into teeth # 4 and #5. The fit well over my prepped teeth but the problem I am having is that they feel so big and specially tooth # 5 touches a lot on my tongue and its really uncomfortable. My bite is ok and I can chew on them just fine.

My dentist said crowns are going to be larger than my regular teeth and that I just need some time to get used to it, she also said because tooth # 5 is where the mouth curves I am going to feel it more.

What is other people's experience with this? should they feel this big and should I just put with it since otherwise I'm not having any problems?

thanks

I'm pretty new at this, but got duped (thought I was getting veneers and was given crowns on my front two teeth). I saw a special restorative dentist to get a second opinion on my "veneers" when the first dentist put the final crowns on, and they were so big and white! They looked horrible, and I knew it. Go with your gut. If the first dentist won't fix it, get your money back and go to someone who is a specialist.
