ok so on friday april 26 i had oral surgery from what i was told i had bone spurs sticking out of my jaw after having all my teeth pulled in prep for dentures, the dentist said unless the bone spurs were fixed my new dentures would cause pressure and pain. so they put me to sleep did the work and sent me home with stitches

my question is how long will it be till im able to eat solid food like chicken fried rice and burgers without risk of the stitches getting damaged

and how long will it take for the stitches to dissolve or fall out assuming they are dissolving stitches

lastly how long should i wait for my jaw to heal before getting dentures

also can i ask the surgeon who did my work to remove the stitches after they have been in my mouth a few days or no?

Those are all questions to ask your oral surgeon.

For eating, your oral surgeon should have told you or the person who escorted you what was their recommendations.
For the amount of time before the stitches come off, your oral surgeon should have told you or the person who escorted you what type of stitches was put and for how long they should stay.
For the healing time, your oral surgeon knows the amount of work he did and your health level, he should be able to give you an estimate.
For the stitches, if they are solvable ones, no need to get them removed as they will no longer be there once you are healed enough.
