Just went to my hygienist and was told i have mild gingivitis and was assured it was reversible completely. She also told me that i have gum recession on one of my teeth perhaps from the way i brush? I was just wondering with better oral hygeine and brushing technique will this tooth and gum go back to normal or is it going to continue to recede for ever and ill completely lose it?? Im only 20 and im distraught
First pic is my healthy canine
Second is the receding gum canine
Apologies for the blood i just had a deep cleaning lol

See the previous answer, it's not unusual to have a little bit of recession around upper canines as you get older, it's due to the anatomy of the area.
It doesn't mean that all your teeth are about to fall out. Get on top of your cleaning and the situation will stabilise in a few days.
