I had to go to the dentist today for an emergency root canal. He didn't have time to do the full procedure, so he cleaned out the roots and stuffed them with some sort of pain reliever. I think it was clove based and put on a temporary filling. I go back Monday. However, he said that it should stop the pain. However, once the freezing wore off, I am still in quite a bit of pain. Is this normal? Does it take a few hours for the pain reliever to work?
