Root Canals & Crowns????

I have to get a root canal done Sept 6. I actually need 2 total. Then on my treatment plan it lists 3 crowns as well as the cast post & core. Will all of these procedures be done in one appointment or over a length of time? I was told the it would take about 2hrs for just one root canal so I'm assuming that they will only do just that procedure that day. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

All dentists work differently but mine would do a root canal over 2 long visits and the crown many months later once sure the tooth had settled. (This has the benefit that the crown is stressfree with no postoperative discomfort as the tooth is fully settled.)
