Yes its me again,
Yesterday took brave step to to go dentist. He checked teeth, did x-rays. While I was there he tested my tolernce to dental work by descaling my teeth, alot of tarter was removed, as I get alot of build up since I was diagonsed with M.E. He was pleased with the way I sat there while he did the clean and I must say I was proud too. But my tongue is getting very sore as the bottom front rear of my teeth are so rough they are catching my tongue, is this normal?

Dreading the next stage as its two teeth extractions on bottom left jaw and the dentist says the numbing gel does not work on the lower jaw and I won't have needles without it and he won't use it. I feel as if I am on a snakes a ladders board.

Hello

I had a deep clean yesterday and I too have the rough sharp edges on the rear of my bottom front teeth.

It's driving me insane!!! I feel as though I can't talk properly and I have a lot of excess saliva ...

I see that you didn't get any replies in this thread so hope you get to see this one and can give me a heads up as to if this improves or do I just 'get used to it'

:)

So who is backing down then, you or him? Re the cleaning, just mention the roughness next time and he can probably polish it for you but I am not a dentist.

I have felt the roughness after a cleaning, usually one that is done by hand it soon wears off after a few days. :butterfly:

I am not sure why they will not numb the bottom teeth with gel. I had my bottom tooth filled and it was pretty big. They did indeed gel it up prior to the shots and I felt nothing. Double check with others, but I know they did that for me! And after I had my teeth cleaned in April I too felt the sharp edges more than normal. When I called they said that when they clean the teeth, they are like polished and the edges are not dull and that was taking place for me!
