Scared to death

Hi I had a tooth break off at the gum, which was badly decaded. The tooth next to it is half gone. I'm diabetic and fear infection and the procedure. I have bone loss and am very concerned the root extraction will damage even more bone. I can see black were the tooth broke off. Help I'm ready to lose it. Thanks.

Hi this does sound stressful. Have you considered seeing a dentist and maybe talking about what could be done, and bringing up your concerns that you mention here? Maybe you could see one and find out what your options are and what the risks are,without committing to anything. This is something I did when I knew I was going to lose teeth and have a lot of work done, I went to see several different people and looked at my different options.
