Severe anxiety and extensive treatment

Hi all, I’ve always suffered with anxiety towards dental visits and treatments but things have really got out of control. Long story short, my top teeth are in an awful way, crumbling and decaying really really bad. The last few days I’ve had severe pain and facial swelling so I bit the bullet and called this morning not expecting to get an appointment anytime soon but to my surprise they said come up now. So I went expecting them to look, tell me off, make me more anxious and leave. But in actual fact I was there for over an hour. They said they want to pull 6 upper teeth and give me a denture plate. I’m 27 and the thought of having dentures terrifies me. I know I need to do something because I can’t suffer this pain anymore but heating the list of work I need done has only heightened my fear and anxiety more. I don’t know how to relax myself to the idea, I know it needs to happen to help but now I fear the worst about extractions and what can go wrong
