A month ago I had rootcanals done on my 4 front teeth that were badly damaged from decay and fracture. Yesterday I finally went in for my temporary crown placement. The dentist rished, kept leaving me for 10-20 minutes at a time to tend to atleast 4 other patients. By the end my numbing had worn off and I was beginning to feel some of the drilling especially when she hit my gums (which she did ALOT) once she got to packing the retraction cord under my gums I could feel it all. I was in tears. She I jetted more nova Cain directly into my gums which was more painful than any Shots I'd had before. And it didn't work. While taking my impressions I was in tears my gums hurt so badly. They gave me HORRIBLE temporary crowns that's like a bridge. The inside of my upper lip is torn to shreds some how. I bled alot during these procedures. Should my gums look like this??
All the discoloration on my lips and teeth is from them ?

I'm not a dentist but I have had a crown prep a few times and a bridge prep and my gums were very raggedy and raw afterwards. I also had a dentist who when he took the impressions did not notice that he rolled my lip under and as he was forcing the tray down was forcing me to bite myself, and he cut the corner of my mouth. he also hit me with the drill on my inner cheek since it was a back tooth and I was bleeding and he tried to say I must have bit myself.

Sounds like you went to a discount volume oriented place. Your gums should look much better next week. My main concern would be what's coming next.
