Sinus Lift and Implants Next Week... yikes!

Anyone out there had a sinus lift and implants placed at the same time? I'm reading too much online and hear how painful this procedure is. Also, the surgeon I'm scheduled with currently doesn't offer IV sedation so I'm going to take Xanax and hope for some relief.

I haven't but my father-in-law had it done. He said it wasn't that painful, and he just had local anesthetic. He said the recovery was not bad, and he only took ibuprofen, no stronger painkillers.

I haven’t either but a friend I mine did and said it wasn’t bad at all.
