Sore gum after extraction

I had a molar 6 extraction last Wednesday and it seems to be healing ( I can see granular tissue in the socket) but my gums are sore and red around the site. I've been doing salt rinses/ Corsadyl rinse as advised by my dentist . I had some coffee for the first time today. Could that have irritated the gums? Should I ask my ( long suffering) dentist to take a look? Thanks

Did the pain linger or is it a quick ouch and gone again? If the former ask your dentist, if the latter it'll be fine.
