I have probably had an account on here for at least a year or two,but I don't post much. I don't know why,it's not like I have many other things to do or people to talk to,
but anyways...if anyone has read any of my other posts on here, they learned that my father is a dentist and it's hard enough having a fear of the dentist let alone having to call one your dad. Not that I don't love my dad and I'm extremely grateful for him and I'm even pretty close to him because we share similar interests. I just wish that he chose another career. Also in my previous posts,I mentioned that I have autism and sensory processing disorder and so that's so much fun too (sarcasm)
I guess I could start with the vague memories of the first appointment in my father's office that I had. I'm not actually sure if it was the first appointment though, but it's the first one I can remember. I was probably like 3 or 4 and I remember sitting in a dental chair in a small room in my dad's office with my mom and my dad and one of my dad's hygienists. I actually don't remember being afraid and intimidated during that appointment, but my autism had me in my oblivious own little world so who really knows
I do remember my dad being on one side of me and the hygienist being on the other side while I was in that chair. I remember the very friendly hygienist introducing me to "Mr.Thirsty" (I think it's called a saliva ejector, but I could be wrong) and "Mr.Tickle" (the polishing tool thing,I don't know the technical term for it). I also remember my dad telling me to "give Mr.Thirsty a kiss", that's really all I remember though.
I do plan on adding to this though and thank you to anyone who read this
