Sutures from surgical extraction - how long?

How long should it take for these to dissolve?

I had a surgical extraction around 10 or 11 days ago now and have noticed the string used to fit these seems to be moving around and touching my tongue etc.

It's not sore, infact, I have had no pain at all from this procedure which I had done under local anaesthetic.

So, I'm just wondering when all this stuff from the stitching should disappear and if there is anything I need to do to get rid of them?

I have a mouth full of stitches to and my oral surgeon said they should dissolve in about 10-14 days. He also said if there are any long bits of thread bothering me to just snip them off. Hope that helps
