Swallowed broken pieces of composite filling

I was sucking on ice chips today due to fighting a severe sinus infection and sore throat. The white composite filling in my front tooth broke out and I was crunching it thinking it was the ice. I know I swallowed most of the pieces and wondered if it will cause me to become ill or hurt me in any way. I can't get in to the dentist for 3 days and am worried about it getting infected. As for now, I have no pain. Thank you.

The filling you swallowed won't do you any harm. Keep the tooth clean and rinse after eating until you can get to see your dentist. Glad you aren't in pain and I hope you get well soon
