Hello

I had my lower second molar right side removed a week ago. It had fractured.

Things are healing well but I noticed when I’m eating that the other teeth on the extraction side seem to knock together a tiny bit when I am eating.

It’s as if the very edges of the top teeth are touching the very edges of the bottom ones - not all the time but it’s making me very cautious when eating.

Is this normal in the early days of an extraction and does it normally correct itself? Ive only ever had wisdoms out before.

Thank you

There might be a bit of swelling near the extraction site that's moved the teeth a bit, but it's not likely.

I suspect you might just be more aware of things that have always been happening since you're worrying about the extraction site.

@Gordon thank you, yes I seem to be a lot more aware of every sensation. Hoping it will settle down over the next few weeks
