temporary crown bad taste

I have a strange, bad taste in my mouth since i got the temp. crown put back on as i couldn't get my new crown- is it the cement, the tooth or maybe something she put on my gum to stop bleeding? how long will this last? it's been 2 days and it wasn't this bad when i got it put on last week. Is there anything i can do to make it go away? i may have to wear this temp. crown for 3 weeks as i need it checked by an endodontist and well as wait to get the tooth fixed or out if that is necessary?

Some of the temp cements taste a bit funky, some of them have eugenol type products in them which tastes sort of clove like.
Possibly rinsing with salt water will help.
