Temporary Crown

I got a root canal done on friday among other things and a temporary crown put on. Today I noticed that the tooth beside the crown has something on it. It's just above the gum and almost blends in with my tooth but I can feel that it's not part of my tooth (at least I hope not because that would mean that that tooth is cracked and it wasn't before...) When I put my finger on it it moves like it's attached somehow. Is this the glue from the crown? I'm kinda freaking out about what it could be and I don't want to do anything to disturb it. Help!

I'm not a dentist, but it could be cement from the temporary crown. When do you go back to the dentist for the permanent one? Can you call and have her/him take a look?
