Temporary crowns

Hi had 2 teeth prepped today and temporary crowns on both on to root canel teeth and getting some pain in one of the teeth I understand my gums are sore as it's only just been done today it this quite normal ? Had some pain in this tooth when he was doing it , I'm not really sure what to expect

Well done for getting through today. I've sometimes had a tender feeling after a crown preparation. hopefully you'll feel better as time goes on and your body recovers.

I experienced soreness for a couple of days afterward.
