The "Your Dentistry Questions Answered" board is designed for people who suffer(ed) with a severe fear of the dentist and/or dental treatment.
IT IS NOT INTENDED AS A GENERAL DENTISTRY FORUM OR SECOND OPINIONS FORUM! Nor is it a health anxiety forum. Please post your questions on a dentistry forum such as Dentistry Reddit instead.

Exceptions to this rule:
(1) you used to suffer with dental phobias or fears and find the explanations on this board therapeutic, or you're in the process of confronting your fears
(2) questions directly relating to dental phobia (e. g. concerned parent or partner)
We realise that people may not self-identify as having a dental phobia and think of themselves as a coward or a wimp instead. If so, you are very welcome on these forums - please do not hesitate to post in the Support section or anywhere else on these forums!
The administrators and moderators reserve the right to delete posts which do not adhere to the guidelines. The reason for this rule is that we do not have full-time "staff" to answer general dental questions. Many thanks for your understanding
Please use a title that describes your problem or question as accurately as possible - don't call your thread "Help!!!" or "Ouch!" or similar.
