So I noticed a bit of pain. I now see I have a small bump in the back corner of my mouth around my wisdom tooth...all of my wisdom are impacted and they need to come out but I've just had so much going on (I'm 18). Anyways, my cheek seems to be kind of swollen (I was reading about wisdom teeth abscess and things and that's one of the other signs).

should I first try to get the infection to go away, go to the dentist, or should I just go ahead and schedule an appointment to have the stupid things yanked out by somebody (I'm getting knocked out)? My new dentist that I just started seeing acted like they could wait but my old dentist over a year ago (who was a crock) felt they needed to come out.

advice, opinions?

thanks...

sorry...i actually meant to put this in the wisdom tooth forum. Oh well.

Go and see your dentist because it might be an infection which will need some antibiotics to calm things down before having them extracted. Best sort this out now than leave things to develop in a not so good way. Either way you would be best seeing your dentist :butterfly:

Thanks for the advice, Carole!
