Tip when getting numbed!

Something I find helpful is after every shot (at the dentist's office) I rinse my mouth thoroughly.  One time I made a mistake and swallowed right after a shot. It felt as if my whole throat was numb!  I could hardly swallow afterwards and almost went to the emergency room!  Now that I rinse, I don't have that problem.
