Tooth extraction blood clot

I had a molar removed almost 2 days ago. For the 1st day/night there was a lot of bleeding. It has finally stopped and now there is a large jelly like blood clot that is larger that the tooth which was removed and has now attached on to the tooth beside it. Is this normal? Is it something I can sort myself? Or should I go back to the dentist?
