Hi...so I've read peoples fears on this page for the last year.
I've had a dental phobia for about 20 years! Fillings is as bad as it has got forme luckily.
Now 44 years of age I was told I need root canal. For me this was the most petrifying news....since Jan 20 I've had a temporary filling due to Covid dental restrictions, then Jan 21 visited a root canal specialist for a consultation. I have a hooked tooth of all things to have and root canal would be two 90 minutes treatments....and due to the hook could be tricky and complicated. This dentist is specialist in his field, but even so explained the pros and cons to the procedure including loosing the file in the curve. Anyway a lot of thought sleepless nights, anxiety not eating...I have decided to have a extraction on Friday under sedation again due to the hooked tooth. It is being performed by a again specialist under sedation and I am petrified beyond belief...but I have a amazing dentist who has a dental surgeon from a top dental hospital visit his practice and if anyone can remove it this guy can. I wanted to post this as I have found do much comfort on here knowing that the fact I get so sick with fear about the dentist is not so uncommon. ? so here's me facing my biggest fear, even if it is under sedation....xx
