Hi, it's been about 1 month after having composite filling done for my second and first molar. Initially I do feel some minor sensitivity and was told that it was normal as my cavities were rather deep and it's an invasive procedure. However, since last week, I started to feel sharp tooth ache whenever I drink hot/cold water and the pain lingers for sometime for a minute or so. Even when I eat acidic food, the pain comes and I am afraid that I might need a root canal. I hope it's not the case as root canal is the last thing I ever wanted for my teeth. Help.
