Treatments at Dental school,dental insurance or financing w/ Dentist?

I think l might need gum tissue graft for 8 lower teeth, the dental school's rate was very reasonable w/ qualify staff, but the business hours and distance are not very convenience for me at all. I might have to take a lot of days off.( l heard you need to go 6 months to a year for tissue graft).It's at least 2 hours drive from where l live.

I am not sure how the finacing at the dentist work,but this option l can at least pick someone close to where l live. Most ads said o% interest, and there is a payment plan. I assume everything is full price.

I don't know how common or complex tissue grafting is, so l really need to find someone that's reliable.
I've not found any depenable insurance program yet. Thanks for any input.
 
For the time, effort and cost, you might do better at a periodontist's office, but that is not to say that dental procedures performed at a dental school aren't up to par. I would imagine that they are performed by qualified periodontal students who are specializing in perio. It's just the lack of experience that would concern me.
