Hi, I'm new to this site

I will be having my wisdom teeth removed and a root canal under twilight sedation. The procedure is going to be 6 hours. Has anyone had it done as well. They said that I will be able to follow directions like open my mouth, and tilting my head to the side. If I do fall asleep during the procedure how will they keep my mouth open without it closing, or wake me to ask a question. Are you allowed to keep like your items with you during the procedure like your phone.

Hi @shallyzomorodi, there's no reason why you shouldn't be allowed to keep your items with you during that type of procedure.

You can find some information about IV sedation here:

And some personal stories/accounts of what it feels like:

6 hours sounds like a really long time for having wisdom teeth removed and one root canal - do you have any idea why the appointment is so long?
