Hi. I recently had a broken tooth, one of the top front ones. Finally found an urgent care that takes my insurance and got the tooth extracted, no more pain from that ofc. But I told the dentist that I was frightened of the needle for numbing my mouth. I explained how the last dentist visit (different dentist/location) for another broken tooth (repaired instead of extracted) I had suffered a sinus communication and am very worried about that. He assured me the location was low risk for that and so he numbed and extracted it without much issue.
As soon as I get home and the numbness goes away I could tell it happened again.
I cannot breathe in or out through my nose without sharp stinging pain in my nostril. The only “relief” I can give is by stuffing gauze or toilet paper in that nostril to completely stop air passing through the hole. I’ve been breathing through my mouth for the past 24 hours and it’s very miserable, getting a constant dull headache and just feel horribly congested 😞
Does plugging my nose make healing more difficult? I don’t really have another option as I’m in constant pain if it’s unplugged, even if I actively avoid breathing through it..
Could there be something unusual about the way my sinus is that could make it difficult to avoid this injury?

It's not possible to have a sinus communication from a front tooth, the sinus is miles away. No, it won't make any difference to the healing from stuffing things in your nose.
