Hello friends
Because of this site ....I found the courage to begin extensive dental work.
Thank you all as I lurked
My upper teeth were extracted about 2 weeks ago. Fine Dentist who undersold my fear.
Lower teeth will be removed in 3 weeks .
I am soooo frighted because I'm not able to eat. I have no appetite...EEkkkk.
I believe my mind is going out due to low blood sugar and have no idea how to correct this
in an easy way.
Wrote a check this afternoon ...for a laborer working for me...
Get a laugh here...I wrote the date as month 13....ha ha ...I consider myself a reasonable intelligent
woman ...I certainly know there are not 13 months in a year.
Any suggestions would be Very Welcome!

The only thing I know of is complan, it is supposed to build up your appetite when you haven't got one. Or maybe you could try some things here:

I hope this helps and that you do get your appetite back soon before you waste away. Let us know how you get on :butterfly:

Many Thanks for answering my post Carole.
I'm having trouble navigating this site which is also
strange to me.....I am somewhat of a computer geek.
This frightens me. I don't know what product you sugested
perhaps it's something available in the UK or elsewhere?
I was (at least I thought so) prepared for having choppers
removed. Took a full month to get an appointment.
Tried like crazy to put on some weight before oral surgery.
To give me a "buffer"...know what I mean? To be socially
correct...I'm considered thin. In the real world I call myself
skinny. he he True
This recovery is much harder than I prepared for. My pantry
is well stocked and I have all the time in the world to pamper
me. I just feel awfull by lack of calories....I think.
I will take a B-complex vitamin this AM and see if that helps
to promote appetite.

Hi Karina,

I wouldn't mess around with this, get yourself to a hospital immediately. Not being able to eat is a real medical emergency. Not having much or an appetite for a day or so might be normal; getting confused and feeling faint are a real emergency.

Please get yourself to the emergency room ASAP. It could save your life.

Thank you Steve!
I'm still confused with this site but feeling a bit better now as I force myself to eat.
Love your doggie pic.
I lived and worked in the Cleveland area (Kent) for many years. Been in the medical
field for most of my adult life. I do understand what have written to me. I have considered
an ER visit but that can be quite difficult from here.
Please understand that English is not my first language....But I am sure that I can be
understood. I live alone in what I call...Nowhere NM..Others refer to it as Wilderness
At this time I don't dare get in my Jeep and drive .If I can bring my Blood Sugar up
I will feel safe to drive 50 miles for assessment....and will do so.
Bless you Steve...You told me what I really needed to hear.
Hugs K

hope everything is well with you Karina!:XXLhug::)
